E-Book Reader

E-Book ReaderE-Book Readers are devices that have been particulary developed to display so called E-Books (i.e. electronic books). Basically every device can be called to be an E-Book Reader when it allows to display an E-Book in its purchased format.

CISflight E-Books are published in the wide spread PDF format which allows for a wide variety of reading devices.

Today devices are being produced that are specially build to display books, newspapers and other formerly printed material. These devices often use so called electronic paper developed by E-Ink to display content. This provides some special advantages:

  • The presentation of the content is comparable with pages printed to paper.
  • Usually there are no hard disk drives being used. This allows to use these devices in altitudes above 10,000 ft.
  • These devices are very handy and light.
  • Their batteries last very long.

That is why we recommend to use an E-Book Reader to display CISflight E-Books when you're away from home. Make sure that index and content directories of PDF documents are well supported. Also a zoom function should be provided. Readers offered in the CIS shop are all well equipped to show aviation related data and charts.
